The official currency in Greenland is the Danish krone - abbreviated to the currency code DKK. 1 Krone is subdivided into 100 øre.
There was a plan for a Greenlandic krone, but these plans were abandoned in 2009. The Greenlandic krone would have been a localised version of the Danish krone, rather than an independent currency.
The former currency of Greenland was the rigsdaler, however this was replaced in 1874 by the kroner. The Danmarks Nationalbank issues all currency in Greenland.
