To transfer money to Canada from Australia with Travelex, you will need to provide your full name, address, bank payment details, and identity verification. You will also need to provide your recipient’s bank account details, including bank name, bank account number, SWIFT/BIC code, and full name and address.
Once the transaction has been processed, funds will usually arrive in 48 hours (1-2 business days). If it takes longer, the issue is likely caused by your recipient’s bank in Canada.
The minimum amount for transferring money overseas with Travelex is AU$10. While your first transaction is limited to AU$2500 max, there is no limit for subsequent transactions with Travelex.
Depending on the nature of the transaction, there may be tax obligations that apply when you send money to Canada. The money you transfer to Canada is typically not taxable since the money has already been taxed within Australia.
