Online Cash Passport Reload Terms and Conditions
Who we are
The Travelex online ordering facility (the "Service") is provided by Travelex Limited (ABN 36 004 179 953, AFSL 222444), referred to as "Travelex" or “we” or "us" or "our". What these terms apply to
These terms and conditions apply to the Service when it is used as an online ordering facility for the reload of Multi-currency Cash PassportTM Cards, Cash Passport MasterCard® Prepaid Currency Cards, Visa Cash Passport ATM Cards, Visa Cash Passport Debit Cards, and Cash Passport Prepaid Visa TravelMoney Cards that were originally purchased from Travelex (collectively referred to as "Cash Passport Cards").
If you are using the Service to purchase foreign currency online, refer to the Online Foreign Currency Product Disclosure Statement and the Online Ordering Terms and Conditions for the applicable terms and conditions. If you are using the Service to purchase a Multi-currency Cash PassportTM, refer to the Multi-currency Cash Passport Product Disclosure Statement and the Online Ordering Terms and Conditions for the applicable terms and conditions.
Use of the Service for reloads of Cash Passport Cards
The Service is only available to individuals aged 18 years or over and who are resident in and accessing the Service from Australia. The Service may be used to reload Cash Passport Cards for holiday or business travel only and not for speculative, investment or any other purposes.
By reloading a Cash Passport Card with Travelex via the Service, you confirm that you have read and understood these terms and conditions and agree to be bound by them and to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Travelex reserves the right to refuse the Service to any person found to be acting outside these terms and conditions.
The Service is only available for the currencies listed and available from time to time on the “Create Order” page of the website www.travelex.com.au (“Website”). The Service does not allow you to load or reload Australian dollars onto a Cash Passport Card.
All online reloads of Cash Passport Cards are subject to:
a. An aggregate order minimum value of AUD250 per order (the minimum order value for reloads of Cash Passport Cards is AUD100 per currency however online purchase via the Service will be subject to the aggregate online minimum value);
b. An aggregate order maximum value (within a 24 hour period) of AUD5,000; and
c. An aggregate order maximum value within a 21 day period of AUD20,000.
These limits are subject to change from time to time at Travelex’s sole discretion.
These limits apply to an online reload of a Cash Passport Card via the Service only and may be different to the limits imposed when reloading a Cash Passport Card in store.
You will not earn Qantas Frequent Flyer Points when reloading Cash Passport Cards using the Service via the Website.
To reload a Cash Passport Card
To reload your Cash Passport Card, follow the instructions on the ordering pages of the Website and complete the following steps:
1. Select “Reload Cash Passport” on the “Create Order” page;
2. Select the currency to load onto your Cash Passport Card and the amount you want to reload. There is an aggregate online order minimum value of AUD250 (the minimum order value for reloads of Cash Passport Cards is AUD100 per currency however online purchase via the Service will be subject to the aggregate online minimum value) and a maximum of AUD2,000 per reload. These limits are also subject to various Card Limits as set out in the relevant Product Disclosure Statement and Terms and Conditions that apply to your Cash Passport Card;
3. Enter your 16 digit Cash Passport card number;
4. Enter the required information and details of the Visa® or MasterCard® credit or debit card you are using to pay for the reload and complete the “Pay” page details;
6. Press the “Pay Now” button to submit your order and pay for the reload.
You are able to correct errors on your order up to the point at which you click on "Pay Now" button on the “Pay” page. You cannot cancel a Cash Passport Card reload. The exchange rates we quote are subject to change. We will use the exchange rate (as set by us) that appears on the “Pay” page at the time we receive your order.
You must provide the requested information including acceptable identification for us to process your order. We reserve the right to request further information from you at any time to enable us to complete your order and / or to comply with regulatory requirements. We will use various procedures to authenticate each transaction. By placing an order, you confirm that the details contained in the order are correct in all respects. The system will display a confirmation page setting out the details of your order. This confirms receipt of your order.
A contract between you and us is only formed when we receive your Visa or MasterCard credit/debit card payment and send you a confirmation email that your order and payment has been accepted. Please print a copy of the confirmation page and the payment confirmation email for your records. We may at any time, decline to process your order or any part of your order for any reason including where insufficient or incorrect information has been provided, authentication has not been possible or an exchange rate has been quoted in error.
You will be required to pay for the reload of a Cash Passport Card by making a payment via a Visa or MasterCard credit or debit card at the time of making your online order. Your card will be debited with the relevant amount once you press “Pay Now” on the “Pay” page. You cannot pay for the reload of a Cash Passport Card via the Service using BPAY®.
Once we have received your credit/debit card payment for the reload, we will load your nominated Cash Passport Card with the relevant funds. Once we have reloaded your card, we will send an email to your nominated email address to confirm that your reload has been processed.
Fees and charges
The total sum payable by you for the reload of the Cash Passport card will be shown on the “Pay Now” page.
You can pay for reloads of Cash Passport Cards via Visa and MasterCard credit and debit cards issued in Australia, which are registered in your name and with sufficient funds available to cover your order and any applicable fees.
If you are using the Service via this Website to reload a Cash Passport Card, you will not be required to pay any commission/reload fee on your order.
Credit card fees
Payment by card will incur a non-refundable card surcharge of 0.77% for Debit MasterCard, 0.94% for Credit MasterCard, 0.72% for Visa Debit and 1% for Visa Credit of the total order value.. This will be shown within your order summary on the “Pay” page. Your card issuer may charge a cash advance fee which will be shown separately on your credit card statement. We have no control over and are not liable for such fees/charges.
Cash Passport Card fees
Cash Passport Cards are subject to various fees, charges and exchange rates and these are set out in detail in the relevant Product Disclosure Statement for that Cash Passport Card available at www.travelex.com.au.
Where there is a variation between the fees set out in these terms and conditions and the fees and charges applicable in the relevant Product Disclosure Statement, these terms and conditions will apply to the extent of any inconsistency in regard to the reload of a Cash Passport Card via the Service.
Cash Passport Card Product Disclosure Statements
By submitting this order you acknowledge that at the time of Cash Passport Card purchase you received the relevant Product Disclosure Statement and you have read, agreed to and are bound by the relevant terms and conditions as set out in the relevant Product Disclosure Statement.
Where there is any inconsistency between these Online Cash Passport Reload Terms and Conditions and the terms of the relevant Product Disclosure Statement, these Online Cash Passport Reload Terms and Conditions shall prevail to the extent of any inconsistency in regard to the reload of a Cash Passport Card via the Service.
Your right to cancel or amend
Once you have confirmed your payment you cannot cancel your reload of a Cash Passport Card.

Personal information and security
You agree that all information provided by you is true and correct, that any material information will not be withheld and you will provide us with any additional information that may be required by us. Travelex may require additional information from you in order to comply with regulatory requirements.
All credit and debit card holders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment your order will not be accepted.
'MasterCard® SecureCode™” and 'Verified by Visa' are payment verification protocols (“Verification Protocols”) developed by MasterCard and Visa to help prevent unauthorised use of their cards.
We accept payments made by Visa card and MasterCard if your card has been successfully verified via one of the Verification Protocols. You may be requested to register your card or enter your password/private code to enable the Verification Protocols to verify your identity. For further information about the Verification Protocols, please refer to http://about.authenticatedtransactions.com/vbv_learn_more.htm and http://www.mastercard.com.au/support/securecode-faq.html. The Verification Protocols help protect you against fraud.
Limiting our liability
We use reasonable care and skill in providing the Service. However, we shall not be liable to you for the following:
- if we are unable to perform any of our obligations to you due to failure of any technical systems or for any other reasons beyond our reasonable control including but not limited to war, terrorism, government action, natural disaster, and industrial dispute;
- for any damage to your computer equipment as a result of using the Website or the Service;
- for any monetary limits, currency exchange restrictions, country restrictions or any other restrictions or limits outside of Travelex’s reasonable control (including but not limited to any prohibitions on bringing currencies into a country);
- for any indirect, or consequential losses, claims or damages suffered by you or incurred from your use of the Website or the Service however caused.
Our maximum liability to you in respect of each use of Service for the reload of a Cash Passport Card shall be to refund the cost of that reload. The disclaimers and limitations of liability in these terms shall not apply to any damages arising from death or personal injury caused by the negligence of Travelex or any of its employees or agents or for fraud. If any provisions of these terms including these disclaimers and limitations shall be unlawful or unenforceable then such provisions shall fall away and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining terms. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Under Australian laws we are prohibited from dealing with sanctioned individuals or entities. If it appears that you are a sanctioned person, or are acting on behalf of a sanctioned person or entity, we may be required to suspend or stop providing services to you. We may also be required to freeze any transactions with you and freeze any assets of yours which we hold. These processes may cause a substantial delay in providing the Service to you or may prevent us from providing the Service to you.
Alteration of terms
We may, at any time, with immediate effect, in respect of future orders, change or withdraw the Website, the Service and these terms without liability to you. If we revise these terms, we will post the revised version on our Website atwww.travelex.com.au . By using the Service or placing orders or reloading your Cash Passport Card after we have changed these terms, you will be accepting the changes.
Third party rights
When you place an order to reload a Cash Passport Card we are entering a contract with you personally. Nothing in these terms will confer any benefit on any third party or any right to enforce these terms.
Law and jurisdiction
Our relationship shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws in the State of New South Wales. Any dispute, which cannot be resolved between us, shall be resolved in the Courts of New South Wales.
