TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Promoter
1. The promoters for the Travelex “Win A Philadelphia Getaway” promotion (“Promotion”) is Travelex Limited (ABN 36 004 179 953) of Suite 45.01, Level 45, 25 Martin Place, Sydney NSW 2000 Australia, and Travelex Financial Services NZ Limited (Company Number 115663) of Level 14 Augusta House, 19 Victoria Street, Auckland 1010 New Zealand (collectively referred to as “Promoter”).
2. The following organisations (collectively referred to as the “Promotional Partners”) will assist in the administration of the Promotion and supply of the prize: (i) Gate 7 Pty Ltd (ABN 13 082 107 088) of Suite 102, 13-15 Wentworth Avenue, Sydney, NSW 2000 Australia (“Gate 7”); and (ii) Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau of 1601 Market St #200, Philadelphia, PA 19103, United States (“Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau”).
Entry Requirements.
1. Information on how to enter and the Prize(s) (defined below) form part of these terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”). Participation in this Promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
2. Entry is only open to Australian and New Zealand residents aged 21 years or over who can travel to Philadelphia, United States to take the Prize (defined below) by 27 May 2027 (“Entrant(s)”).
3. Employees (and “Immediate Family” (defined below) of Employees) of the Promoter, the Promotional Partners, and agencies associated with this Promotion are ineligible to enter. “Immediate Family” means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.
4. Entry into the Promotion will open at 9:00AM AEDT on 6 April 2026 and will close at 11.59PM AEST on 18 May 2026 (“Promotional Period”).
5. To be eligible to enter and receive one (1) automatic entry into the draw (“Entry”), individuals must, during the Promotional Period, sign up to the Travelex mailing list by completing either of the following steps:
6. Visit the subscribe page on Travelex’s online website at https://www.travelex.com.au/subscribe or https://www.travelex.co.nz/subscribe, locate the “Don’t miss out” section, input the requested details (i.e., email address), and click “Subscribe”; or
a. visit any Australian or New Zealand Travelex store, make a purchase and at the time of choosing whether to receive an e-receipt or not, the entrant provide verbal consent to the staff member that they wish to become a subscriber of Travelex’s mailing list and provide the staff member with the requested details (i.e. their email address).
b. Only one (1) entry is permitted per person.
7. Existing subscribers to the Travelex mailing list will be automatically entered into the Promotion.
8. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of Entries and Entrants (including an Entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these Terms and Conditions, tampered with the Entry process or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise fair and proper conduct of the Promotion. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter’s discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
9. Incomplete entries, as determined by Promoter in its sole and absolute discretion, will be deemed invalid. Entrants are responsible for ensuring that their contact details are correct and up to date.
10. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an Entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the Entrant.
11. The draw will take place at Anisimoff Legal, Level 3, 162 Collins Street, Melbourne VIC 3000, Australia at 10:00AM AEST on 27 May 2026 in the presence of an independent scrutineer. The Promoter may draw additional reserve Entries and record them in order in case an invalid Entry or ineligible Entrant is drawn. The winner will be notified in writing within two (2) business days of the draw and their details (first initial, surname and postcode) will be published online at https://www.travelex.com.au/ and https://www.travelex.co.nz/ on 3 June 2026.
12. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Prizes
13. There will be one (1) prize in total (“Prize”), being a holiday for two (2) adults as further detailed below.
14. The first valid Entry drawn (“Prize Winner”) will win the Prize. The Prize is a trip for two (2) adults (aged 21 years or older) to Philadelphia, USA valued at up to $14,363.58 AUD depending on date and point of departure. The Prize includes:
- Five (5) nights' accommodation in a 4*/4.5* hotel in Philadelphia – valued at up to $2,130 AUD;
- 200,000 American Airlines AAdvantage® miles, equivalent to a return flight for 2 people to the US from the Prize Winner’s nearest capital city to Sydney, Australia or Auckland, New Zealand for a direct flight to Philadelphia, United States – valued at up to $7,100 AUD;
- Return Airport Transfer in Philadelphia – valued at up to $284 AUD;
- Attractions tickets, dining coupons and tours – valued at up to $2,478.18 AUD;
- Tickets for a sport game to be determined by the Promoter once dates for the Prize have been booked – valued at $710 AUD;
- Philadelphia welcome bag valued at $241.40 AUD; and
- a $1,000 USD denominated Prepaid card (“Travelex Money Card”) for the Prize Winner only.
The following conditions apply to the Prize:
a. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of the Prize or any part of the Prize.
b. 200,000 American Airlines AAdvantage® Points will be supplied to the Prize Winner to be redeemed to purchase flights to Philadelphia, United States for the Prize Winner and their guest. The Prize Winner may depart from any capital city in Australia or New Zealand to Sydney or Auckland (seasonal from November 2026 to March 2027) for economy class airfares to Philadelphia USA. Any amount exceeding this allowance will be the responsibility of the Prize Winner.
c. Additional spending money, additional meals, taxes (excluding airline and airport taxes) insurance, transport to and from departure point, additional transfers, passports, visas, vaccinations, items of a personal nature, in-room or other charges incurred at the hotel, tips and gratuities, and all other ancillary costs are not included.
d. The Prize must be taken within 12 months of the draw date (this means the holiday must be completed and the Prize Winner must return to their departure point by 27 May 2027). The Prize is subject to booking and flight availability, regardless of preferred flight availability.
e. Unless otherwise approved by the Promoter, the Prize Winner and their guest must depart from and return to the same departure point and travel together. Itinerary to be determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion. Itinerary is subject to change and may be adjusted depending on location, departure city, flight schedule or other factors.
f. The Prize is subject to the standard terms and conditions of individual Prize and service providers.
g. Any ancillary costs associated with redeeming the American Airlines AAdvantage® Points and Travelex Money Card are not included. Any unused balance of the American Airlines AAdvantage® Points or Travelex Money Card will not be awarded as cash. Redemption of the American Airlines AAdvantage® Points and Travelex Money Card is subject to any terms and conditions of the issuers.
h. The Prize Winner may be required to present their credit card at time of accommodation check in. A deposit may be required from the Prize Winner at check-in to the hotel and this is not included in the Prize.
i. Prize Winner and Prize Winner's guest are advised to check government travel advice before booking and embarking on any travel and are responsible for ensuring that they have valid passports, and any requisite visas, vaccinations and other travel documentation (including, without limitation, proof of COVID-19 vaccination in an appropriate form, if required) at their own cost. During the travel, the Prize Winner (and Prize Winner’s guest) must comply with any mandatory travel requirements, such as wearing face masks during flights, customer service counters and kiosks, airport lounges, gates and baggage claim areas at both the origin and destination airports.
j. The Prize Winner must select attractions from the following list: Independence Seaport Museum, Eastern State Penitentiary, National Constitution Center, Barnes Foundation, Calder Gardens, Penn Museum, Adventure Aquarium, Philadelphia Art Museum & Rodin Museum, The Franklin Institute, Philadelphia Zoo, Mutter Museum, Philadelphia's Magic Gardens, Museum of American Revolution, Museum of Illusion, WeVenture Electric Cart Tour, City Food Tour – Flavors of Philly, Citysightseeing Bus Tours, Philly Bike Tours and City Hall Tower Tour. Dining coupons will be provided as per the following: Starr - Dining voucher valued at $284 AUD, Schulson Collective - Dining voucher valued at $284 AUD, and Reading Terminal Market voucher valued at $142 AUD.
k. Travel must be completed outside of any blackout periods which apply during school holidays and public holidays in New Zealand and/or the Australian State or Territory of departure. The “Discover Philadelphia” certificate cannot be redeemed for travel between 20 December and 1 January, on major holiday weekends, citywide conventions and over peak period such as FIFA WorldCup, America’s 250th Birthday and others. Additional restrictions apply to travel dates.
l. Unless otherwise approved by the Promoter, tickets for travel are valid for roundtrip flights between Sydney and Auckland (seasonal from November 2026 to March 2027) then onto Philadelphia only, using the most direct routing from the eligible departure city. Stopovers, upgrades, and name changes are not permitted. Lost or stolen tickets and will not be replaced.
m. American Airlines AAdvantage® miles certificate is not redeemable for cash. Certificate may not be purchased, sold or bartered. Only original certificates will be honoured. Certificate is void if reproduced, altered, counterfeited or used improperly. Fraud or abuse is subject to administrative and/or legal action by American Airlines, including without limitation, the forfeiture or confiscation of all mileage certificates and award certificates and any accrued mileage in a member's account, as well as cancellation of the account and prohibition of member's future participation in the AAdvantage® program. Lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed certificates will not be replaced by American Airlines.
n. Determination of income tax liability on mileage certificates and AAdvantage® travel awards is the responsibility of the holder. The holder of this certificate has only the limited right to surrender same to American Airlines in accordance with terms and conditions stated herein for crediting of mileage at American Airlines, and is subject to all AAdvantage® program terms and conditions. American Airlines may change AAdvantage® program rules, regulations, travel awards and special offers at any time, which changes may have retroactive effect. This means that American Airlines may initiate changes impacting, for example, participant affiliations, rules for earning mileage credit, mileage levels and rules for the use of travel awards, continued availability of awards, embargo dates and limited seating for travel awards, and the features of special offers. American Airlines reserves the right to end the AAdvantage® program with six months’ notice. AAdvantage® travel awards, mileage accrual and special offers are subject to government regulations. American Airlines is not responsible for products or services offered by other participating companies. o. Terms and conditions stated herein cannot be changed by any statement or representation of any unauthorized person, including employees of American Airlines or other third party.
p. The Prize is not transferable, and it is not redeemable in conjunction with any other discounts or offers.
q. Standard baggage fees apply and are the responsibility of the Prize Winner and the Prize Winner’s guest.
r. Prize Winner (and the Prize Winner’s guest) must travel together on the same itinerary for the entire journey. No changes are permitted once tickets have been issued.
s. To the extent permitted by law, the Prize Winner will release and hold Travelex and/or the Promotional Partners and their respective employees, officers, directors, shareholders, agents and participating sponsors harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind resulting from or relating to the acceptance, possession or use of the Prize, including, (except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees as defined below) personal injury, claims based upon publicity rights, defamation, invasion of privacy, or any other claim which the Prize Winner and/or the Prize Winner’s guest now have or may hereafter have. The Prize Winner agrees that, to the extent permitted by law, each of the Promoter and the Promotional Partners assume no liability whatsoever for the acts or defaults of any company or person providing the Prize, or for any events occurring after the award of the Prize (except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees). Nothing in this clause or these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the Non-Excludable Guarantees.
t. The program itinerary and details of the Prize are at the discretion of Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau and are subject to change.
u. The Promoter and Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau do not manage the Prize Winner or the Prize Winner’s guest’s visa application process or any COVID-19 entry requirement processes required by the destination country in which the Prize is to be taken. All visa and COVID-19-related issues must be handled by the Prize Winner. Should a Prize Winner be denied a visa or entry into the destination country due to COVID-19, an alternative Prize Winner will be drawn, if timing permits, as the package remains non-refundable and non-transferable.
v. The Prize Winner will be responsible for the Prize Winner and the Prize Winner’ guest’s own transport to and from their nearest International Airport.
15. If, for any, reason a winner does not take the Prize (or an element of the Prize) by the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the Prize (or that element of the Prize) will be forfeited and will not be redeemable for cash. The Promoter reserves the right to award the Prize to a reserve Entrant drawn, if an originally drawn winner is ineligible. The Prize Winner will not be entitled to a refund or credit note for the travel.
16. The Prize must be claimed by 2 July 2026 (for the original Prize Winner) and 17 July 2026 (for the Prize Winner of the unclaimed prize draw, if any).
17. If the Prize (or part of the Prize) is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the Prize (or that part of the Prize) with a Prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.
18. The attractions and sports game ticket prizes are subject to the event venue and ticket terms and conditions, including any applicable age restriction. The Promoter and event organisers hereby expressly reserve the right to eject the Prize Winner (and/or his/her guest) for any inappropriate behaviour, including but not limited to intoxication, whilst participating in any element of the Prize.
19. Total Prize pool value is up to AUD $14,363.58.
20. The Prize, or any unused portion of the Prize, is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash, unless otherwise specified.
21. A draw for the Prize, if unclaimed, (“Unclaimed Prize”) may take place on 3 July 2026 at the same time and place as the original draw, in the presence of an independent scrutineer, subject to any directions from a regulatory authority. The Promoter may draw additional reserve Entries and record them in order in case an invalid Entry or ineligible Entrant is drawn. The Unclaimed Prize winner, if any, will be notified in writing within two (2) days of the draw and their details (first initial, surname and postcode) will be published online at https://www.travelex.com.au/ and https://www.travelex.co.nz/ on 10 July 2026.
General
21. In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency or disaster, pandemic, or other events causing disruption to travel, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion or suspend or modify the Prize, subject to any written directions from a relevant regulatory authority.
22. The Prize Winner and otherwise Unclaimed Prize winner (collectively, “Winner”) consent to the Promoter using their name, likeness, image and/or voice (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this Promotion (including any outcome).
23. If this Promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law: (a) to disqualify any Entrant; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the Promotion, as appropriate.
24. Any cost associated with accessing the Promoter’s website(s) is the Entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the internet service provider used.
25. As a condition of accepting the Prize, the Prize Winner (and his/her guest) must sign any legal documentation as and in the form required by the Promoter and/or prize suppliers in their absolute discretion, including but not limited to a legal release and indemnity form.
26. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act, as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in the States and Territories of Australia or any statutory consumer guarantees as provided under consumer protection laws in New Zealand (“Non-Excludable Guarantees”). Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion.
27. Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, and without limiting any exclusion of liability set out herein, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) is not responsible for and excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any Entry or Prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in Prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) if a tour or travel activity is delayed, postponed or cancelled for any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter (f) any tax liability incurred by a Winner or Entrant; or (g) use or taking of the Prize (or any element of the Prize) or participation in the Prize (or any element of the Prize); (h) the Promotion or any element of the Prize.
28. The Promoter collects personal information ("PI") in order to conduct the Promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such PI to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, Prize suppliers and, as required, to Australian or New Zealand regulatory authorities. Entry is conditional on providing this PI. The Promoter will also use and handle PI as set out in its “Privacy Policy”, which can be viewed for Australia at www.travelex.com.au/product-disclosure-documents-and-terms-conditions/privacy-policy and for New Zealand at https://www.travelex.co.nz/product-disclosure-documents-and-terms-conditions/privacy-statement. The Privacy Policies contain information about how Entrants may opt out, access, update or correct their PI, how Entrants may complain about a breach of the Australian or New Zealand Privacy Principles or any other applicable law and how those complaints will be dealt with. All entries become the property of the Promoter. The Promoter may disclose PI to entities outside of Australia and New Zealand . 29. By accepting these Terms and Conditions you agree to receive information on Travelex products and services (including products and services offered by our third-party partners on our website or in-store). Your information will be treated in line with Travelex’s privacy policy which can be viewed for Australia at www.travelex.com.au/product-disclosure-documents-and-terms-conditions/privacy-policy and for New Zealand at https://www.travelex.co.nz/product-disclosure-documents-and-terms-conditions/privacy-statement. You can withdraw your consent at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link in marketing emails or by sending your request to privacy@travelex.com.au for Australia and privacy@travelex.co.nz for New Zealand.
30. The laws of Australia apply to this promotion to the exclusion of any other law. Entrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
